“Pioneering a Collaborative and Sustainable Water Future”
The Platte Valley Water Partnership (PVWP) is a partnership between Lower South Platte Water Conservancy District (LSPWCD) and Parker Water & Sanitation District (PWSD). This project brings agricultural and municipal water users together to capture junior water in times of excess that would otherwise leave the state, and put it to beneficial use in Colorado. While PWSD will pipe their share of the water back to the front range to serve their district, LSPWCD will put the water to use right here in Northeast Colorado. Taking water that normally wouldn’t be available and using it within LSPWCD boundaries.
A big emphasis on this project is utilizing junior water rights, and not allowing permanent buy and dry to be used in the project.
Lower South Platte Water Conservancy District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Lower South Platte Water Conservancy District
